Being a Good Friend

What are Friends? A friend is someone who is kind, happy and reliable. Being a good friend means to be a great listener also to be honest. Friends are also really important because they are always their when you are feeling sad or lonely.

To be a wonderful friend, you would have to take notice of your friends problems. One thing you could do to test your friendship is to be yourself and if they don’t like you for who you are maybe that friend isn’t much of a friend at all. Just remember not everyone is perfect not even me but we’re all individuals and that’s what make us, who we are.

Things that don’t make a healthy friendship is being a jerk and not being trustworthy . Another way is not liking one anothers personality E.g not liking you for who you are, now are friend like that isn’t much of a friend at all.

If you get into an awful fight with your buddy, it’s always a great thing to ask for help but if it’s over something really silly like a hair tie or a pair of new shoes then make a chart on the days for who wears them. It’s a really cool thing to have a friend lot’s of people don’t even have a friend but their are still waiting.

Many people don't have a friend so make sure you treasure yours.

Being Fit

WALT: record what is said with appropriate punctuation

Did you know your body is an amazing machine? It just needs to be used every day to keep it working well.

Exercise keeps your body strong and fit. Fitness means having the energy to work and play and do all the things you want to do easily. Your body can not store fitness, so you need to exercise regularly to stay fit.

Exercise  makes you feel and look better, it keeps your body a healthy weight. It also helps you relax and sleep better, hen you exercise your body produces chemicals called endorphins which go to your brain and make you feel good.

Exercise for strength makes your muscles stronger so you can work different parts of your body without feeling weak. Exercise for stamina makes your heart and lungs stronger and helps blood flow easily throughout your body, stamina is the ability to exercise longer without getting tired or out of breath.

So you need to move it!

Symbolism

For Extension the year 5&6 students have been learning about Symbolism, it's how one image can mean many things. This is my Symbol for now, as I go on my Symbol will keep on changing. It's like a pile of treasure that you want to keep forever. Mine is about school, my friend Stevenson drew this picture on HyperStudio.

This drawing represents how I really love school, most kids will probably want to be like 21 years old but it doesn't sound easy. Any way as you can see I loves books and learning it's one of my hobbies, creating knew things like a piece of writing or a animation is really entertaining for me a challenge is what I would call it.

Marking My Work

Capital letters are letters that are at the beginning of a sentence or geographical places like city or countries. Some people might call them Upper case, capitals or the big letters. The height limit is the line above the line you are writing on.

One Place that Capitals are used is in peoples names. E.g My name is Collin or Hi my name is Joseph, Mrs Garden ( Teacher ) told me that it’s a way of giving respect to one another, like saying you are more important than a non living thing like a pencil.

Did you know that Capitals are also in Titles of Movies, Books and much more? You have to put a capital in front of the story or movie so that you can understand the writing and a little bit of what the movie is abouts.

Another place you can find Capitals are in places but if you want to act smart then you can say geographical places, when I say geographical I mean like cities, countries or Continents. Lets start with Continents, there are 7 different Continents called Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Oceania. As you can see they all have capital letters in the beginning of their names.

There are many other places you can use Capitals but for my last paragraph, I have chosen Dates. Did you know that Monday has a capital because it is one of the days of the week? Not only days of the week have capitals also months and special holidays do too. For example Religious holidays like Easter and Christmas. Another E.g I am entering America exactly at 2:45 am.

Now that you know a lot about Capitals you can teach more people.
